Description: benefit with two level control structure. Its main activities are in the field of technology transfer of competitive research products from the research institutions to SMEs. The technology transfer completing is based on the expertise of researchers and scientists leading in their technology field. The other two partners – Agency for Economic Development Kostinbrod (AEDK) and University faculties of Machinery and … are stable professionals in their field. AEDK is an NGO, which main activities are focused on development of information and consulting services for local SMEs. The Agency is closely introduced with the targeted cross-border economic and social situation. It is providing consultancy services to SMEs in the Sofia region and is providing support in management of different type of projects. The Agency has managed number of projects, among which is a project aiming strengthening the local development and entrepreneurship in Kostinbrod and Leskovac (Serbia) under Phare Programme CBC Bulgaria-Serbia. The University faculties from their side implement research and scientific activities and possess profound experience in the new technologies and innovations invention. The project strategy, that the tree partners consider to reduce the above stated constrains of the CB region, revolves around the following pillars: i) LDOs and SMEs are interested in developing their capacity. They have expressed their need for acquiring specific knowledge over energy efficiency, renewable energy and ICT and appliance of these new technology in real business; ii) Study of the current needs for new technologies of SMEs in the priority areas; iii) finding solutions for those needs in the research organisations and research driven SMEs; iv) awareness raising on sustainable development of the covered regions through introduction of new technologies, services, management techniques etc., and opportunities for financing of these activities; v) stimulation of cross-border business and technological cooperation.
