The value of the already prepared technical project for the Ethnographic center is 175,000 € minimum threshold for applying for investment projects under program 300 000 €, while the maximum is 600 000 €. Planned duration is 12 to 24 months.
The proposal is linked to the construction or reconstruction by the potential partners of a building close to the intended purpose of the here described "Ethnographic center." The ultimate goal is to improve convergence and cooperation between partner regions in the field of cultural tourism and the preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage.
The main aim of this project is to promote the conservation and sustainable use of cultural heritage in the Kovachevtsi Municipality by supporting the development of integrated tourism, diversification and improvement of tourism infrastructure, attractions and facilities for visitors. The center will include buildings and facilities for promoting and development of typical folk crafts preserved to this day.
Indicative objectives of the project:
Creation and furnishing of Ethnographic Center;
Restoration and preservation of traditional crafts in Kovachevtsi Municipality - grain, forging services, carpentry, processing of wool, leather, milling;
Landscaping, improvement and socialization of the surrounding area;
Promotion of the municipality as a destination for cultural tourism;
Creating opportunities for the development of primary and secondary tourist business in the municipality Kovachevtsi;
Increased number and time of stay of visitors in Kovachevtsi Municipality
Preservation of cultural heritage by raising awareness of visitors and locals.
We are looking for all kind of partners (with accent on municipalities) from Serbia who have property of building to be reconstructed or land to be build on. All kinds of unique Serbian crafts and traditions to be popularized in the cross-border region are welcome.
