Description: The project has planned activities concerning the development of the cultural traditions and increasing the cross-border creative contacts of the local communities, playing the role of a main motivator for establishment of sustainable cross-border partnerships. The provision of conditions suitable for the development of joint creative events, increasing the positive attitude of the local communities towards the Bulgarian and Serbian Culture, building capacity for practical cooperation between the culture institutions, creative artists and non professional performers from the two regions are the main tasks under the project. By the two trainings planned in the project we will improve the qualification in the sphere of the cultural management, which will become a precondition for the development of complete cultural products. Through mobilizing the capacity and the resources of the two partner organizations, the project ambitiously aims to encourage, involve and motivate the local communities for their participation in events for preserving and popularizing the local culture as well as for the development and establishment of new creative contacts. Every citizen should be guaranteed not only the right to have access to arts, but also the right to create and have access to education in the sphere of arts. The major challenge which the Community Centre is facing today is winning recognition as an initiator of various activities aiming at the preservation of our cultural and historical heritage and transforming into a centre for democratic, public access to different kinds of information and contemporary sources of information and services. What made us choose Music School Nis as our partner is the fact that in their everyday activities they are led by ideas, goals and priorities similar to ours; they work with young musicians and creative artists who will have the opportunity for creative expression, gain new knowledge and skills and establish partnerships. The continuing impact of the project upon its completion will be accomplished by the publication of a Collection of Music Pieces "Melodies from the Balkans"and a Cultural Information Reference Book as well as by the arrangement of information corners and the annual carrying out of the Music Academy.
