The value of the already prepared technical project for the House of carpet is 175,000 € minimum threshold for applying for investment projects under program 300 000 €, while the maximum is 600 000 €. Planned duration is 12 to 24 months.
The proposal is linked to the construction or reconstruction by the potential partners of a building close to the intended purpose of the here described "House of the carpet." The ultimate goal is to improve convergence and cooperation between partner regions in the field of cultural tourism and the preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage.
The objective of this project is to create conditions for development of tourism in the small inhabited areas, focusing on local cultural-historical heritage of the region. The main aim of the project will be the presentation of the unique Chiprovtsi carpets, but also provide information on other local historical and natural attractions.
Indicative objectives of the project:
To improve the cultural image of Chiprovtsi Municipality;
To improve the tourism image of the municipality and to create conditions for a more diverse tourism in the region
To increase the attractiveness of Chiprovtsi Municipality in socio - cultural and economic terms, by creating conditions for healthy living environment, equal access to infrastructure, health, culture and knowledge;
Creation of favorable conditions, stabilizing the local economy and leading to balanced and sustainable development;
Improving the quality of public services and the living environment of the population of the municipality;
Transforming the municipality in a popular tourist destination;
Marketing support for alternative forms of tourism in the Municipality Chiprovtsi by devising an appropriate marketing strategy and vision for the development of alternative forms of tourism
Preserving the cultural identity and traditional craft in the municipality
We are looking for all kind of partners (with accent on municipalities) from Serbia who have property of building to be reconstructed or land to be build on. It is not necessary for the potential Serbian partners to be connected with carpet making. All kinds of unique crafts and traditions to be popularized are welcome.
