The current project will be a big step of dealing with the mentioned problems of the two municipalities from the border region. It will give the necessary conditions for wide approach to cultural events for the local communities. They will moreover have the opportunity to enrich their culture experience by watching the foreign performance. The project will on the other hand strengthen the administrative network between Municipality of Surdulica and Municipality of Bozhurishte which already has its tradition. This means that the project would help people, especially the youth, to overcome their social isolation, bring the communication to a higher level and help them exchange experience and culture.
In this connection, the current project is a precondition for overcoming the historical conflicts between the two municipalities from the past as it will work for the partnership between them in the future. This project will intensify the strengths of both municipalities and will help them to overcome the constraint connected with lack of funds for investing in infrastructure for cultural life of local citizens and guests of both municipalities.
Needs: The Community Centre "Hristo Botev" is an old building with a very bad condition. It has construction problems and is dangerous, needs inner and outer repairs, change of windows and doors, etc. The cultural centre in Surdulica is also in a very bad condition and is not restricted in the last 30 years. Both of them do not meet the requirements for performing in them. |
