The main needs and weaknesses will be addressed through:
- Strengthening the local business – development of resource centers for business support and cooperation between the business, the scientific circles and the administration from both sides of the border;
- Joint research studies for market opportunities and encouraging the enterprise of the population and the business via actual and accessible investment measures.
In this regard, the creation of resource centres in the cross-border region can foster business opportunities and identify real investments possibilities in the fields of tourism, SMEs and agriculture. Subsequently this cooperation may be implemented under a different form (mostly via public-private partnerships) and will benefit in strengthened cooperation and establishment of virtual and actual network between Bulgarian and Serbian cross-border business partners.
Moreover, the information in the internet platform will be free of charge and will be online supported thus enabling a continuous exchange of knowledge, information and materials between potential business entities, organizations and municipalities in cross-border region. It is essential that the project will be implemented in cross-border regions where demographic and socio-economic problems exist. In this regard, improving the regions’ business capacity will have a major positive impact throughout the whole cross-border region. Also, the partnership between the Municipality of Chiprovtsi and the Municipality of Bor is very crucial due to the fact that both are presented by professionals who are familiar with the problems they are facing, and have experience in cross-border cooperation. |
