The official ceremony for awarding of the third group of subsidy contracts under the Second Call for project proposals under Bulgaria - Serbia IPA Cross-border Programme was held on 04th of November 2013 at Ministry for Regional Development of Bulgaria in Sofia, Bulgaria. The contracts were awarded by the Minister of Regional Development of Bulgaria, Desislava Terzieva, and the Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-government of Serbia, Igor Mirovic.
The two ministers awarded 13 subsidy contracts the total value of which is over 2.2 million euro. Representatives of a variety of organizations such as municipalities, public, cultural and educational institutions, NGOs and other from both Bulgaria and Serbia participated at the ceremony. Special guest at the ceremony was the ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria, His Excellency Vladimir Curgus.
A special training seminar for Bulgarian beneficiaries was organized after the ceremony. The seminar had been focused on the project implementation and its agenda reflected the structure of the Project Implementation Manual and the following basic topics:
- Monitoring, reporting and finalization of the project;
- Financial implementation and eligibility of expenditures;
- Contract modifications;
- Public procurement procedures according to PRAG regulations;
- Communication and Visibility.
