Strengthening of institutional co-operation across the border;Encouraging and supporting the establishment or further development of sustainable co-operation network between local and regional stakeholders;Increasing personnel and institutional capability for co-operation and participation in future development programmes;Supporting development particularly in the field of small-scale activities across the border;Encouraging the development of cultural tourism;Stimulating the increase of the employment in the region;Establishment of information networks for promotion of the common cultural heritage in the region;Attraction of large number of tourists.
The project plans activities in the following priority fields:Cultural exchange – developing a joint programme for protection and maintenance of the common cultural heritage and monuments including Serbiran cultural monuments in Montana and Bulgarian cultural monuments in Pirot; Tourism - preparation of common advertising tourist brochure; Marketing research and analysis of the tourist attractions and opportunities in both municipalities, Development of integrated management software, Establishment of a common web portal etc. |
